Watch: Taylor Swift honors ‘1989’ anniversary in New Orleans

Taylor Swift honored her fifth era with a mashup on the 10-year anniversary of “1989” and one-year anniversary of “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”
“I always do something different,” Swift said while strumming the guitar at the start of her surprise set Sunday in the Caesars Superdome. “No two nights are ever the same, and so that’s a fun little challenge to come up with something you might like to hear. I cannot remember the last time that I did this one.”
She then performed a mashup of “Afterglow” from “Lover” and “Dress” from “Reputation” to the 65,000 fans, lighting the wristbands a brilliant green and purple.
In her blue and purple sparkly dress debuted in Miami, the singer sat down at the pinao.
“Today is a fantastic day, because today umm…” Swift said before the crowd erupted in a thunderous roar. “I feel like you already know what I’m going to say which makes it so precious and wonderful. ‘1989’ is 10 years old today. That’s pretty special. A decade of the ‘1989’ album.”

Swift blended two songs from her fifth era: “That’s How You Get the Girl” and “Clean.”
The singer-songwriter released the rerecorded version of the album a year ago today.
